Feedback
Signal on what worked and what did not, closing the loop.
The Feedback stream captures signal on what worked and what did not, and routes it back into the work so the next run improves on the last. It is the arrow that closes the loop.
What it captures
Feedback is any signal about quality: a reviewer correcting a Runner's draft, an examiner's finding, a member's response, an outcome that landed well or badly. It also includes the human kind, the coaching and the thank-you, because in an institution that runs on people and Runners together, the culture is part of the operating history too.
Why it matters
Without Feedback, the other three streams just accumulate; the loop records but never learns. Feedback is what turns a correction into a prior: when a reviewer rewrites a Runner's SAR narrative, that rewrite becomes signal the next narrative is drafted against. Over a season, it is the difference between a Runner that stays flat and one that gets measurably better at your institution's actual work.
In the loop
Feedback flows back into Work (do it differently next time) and Thought (reason about it differently), which is why a real Compounding Loop has to span all four streams. A loop that closes on only one of them stalls.
