The concept is adopted from compounding loops in engineering: a system that gets measurably better from its own operating history rather than staying flat. We think of the Current as a suite of these loops.

For an institution, a real compounding loop has to span four things at once: tech, AI, process, and people. A loop that only closes on one of them stalls.
