Runline Overview

How We Got Here

A one-person AI-native company for regulated enterprises, and why generic agent frameworks were not enough.

Runline started as a one-person, AI-native company built to serve regulated enterprises. It emerged from something unglamorous: Sean building three separate agent frameworks and keeping only what actually landed.

We drew on the wave of AI builders, Agno, CrewAI, Mastra, LangChain, and others, and learned a lot from them. But we kept hitting the same realization: what regulated industries need is deeply nuanced, and that nuance is exactly where intentional design has an outsized impact. Generic frameworks optimize for the general case; regulated institutions live in the exceptions.

So we chose to go beyond what most of those frameworks offered, because of who we serve.
