Prime Runners

The durable, long-lived Runner for a domain at a specific institution.

A Prime Runner is the durable, named agent for a Runline's domain at a specific institution. Its name is chosen by the institution it serves and locked to it: two credit unions running the same domain will name their Prime Runners differently, because each one becomes a distinct member of that institution's team.

Durable, not disposable

Most agents in the fleet are ephemeral: spun up for a task, gone when it is done. The Prime Runner is the exception. It persists, and over time it becomes the orchestrator for its domain, coordinating the smaller specialized sub-Runners around it. The Prime is the one that lives; the fleet around it is the ephemeral labor.

It accrues institutional knowledge

Because it is durable, a Prime Runner accumulates context about the institution it serves: its policies, its exceptions, the way this credit union actually handles a soft loan exception or a borderline alert. A generic agent starts from zero every session. A Prime Runner starts from everything the Compounding Loop has taught it about this place. That accrued context is why the same headcount gets more capable over a season rather than staying flat.

Still governed

Durability does not mean autonomy. A Prime Runner earns trust through the same tiers and gates as any Runner, and the Grid enforces its limits regardless of how long it has been running or how much it knows.
