Circuit
The org nervous system: the real-time event and CDC layer moving data across systems.
Circuit is the org nervous system: the real-time event and change-data-capture (CDC) layer that moves data across the systems a credit union already runs. It is how the Knowledge Fabric stays current, and how Interlay, our approach of becoming the connective tissue between the systems you already have, actually reaches the Workstream.
What it does
Circuit watches the systems of record, the core, the loan-origination system, the BSA platform, the shared drive, and turns every meaningful change into an event the rest of the platform can react to. A new alert, a posted transaction, a document uploaded: each becomes a signal in near real time, not a nightly batch. That is the difference between a Runner acting on what is true now and one working from last night's export.
Why it matters
Most institutions move data by batch: an overnight extract, a report someone pulls, a spreadsheet emailed around. By the time a decision gets made, the picture is hours stale. Circuit replaces that with a continuous flow, so the Knowledge Fabric always reflects the current state and a Runner's context is never a day behind. It is also what lets Runline become the tissue between the core and everything else without ripping the core out: Circuit reads the changes and carries them where they need to go.
In the exam
Because Circuit is the path the data travels, it is part of the record too. Movement is observable and traceable, and everything a Runner reads from the Fabric downstream is auditable through the Grid. Nothing moves in the dark.
